Michael Parsons is the current Chairman of APEX Home Loans, Inc and is an accomplished and well recognized financial professional with 20 years experience in the real estate and mortgage banking industry. Prior to joining Apex in 2010, Michael was the President and Co-Founder of Nationwide Home Mortgage, Inc. where he provided the vision and fortitude necessary to run a Washington Business Journal top 15 rated mortgage lender.
In addition to managing his personal production and serving the needs of his customers, Michael's day-to-day responsibilities include the overall management and marketability of the company as well as capitalizing on strategic opportunities that present themselves within the marketplace.
Michael is the current President of the Maryland Association of Mortgage Professionals (MAMP), where he works tirelessly to promote a code of conduct for all loan originators and to further that organization's mission to raise the quality and level of professionalism embodied by all Maryland loan originators. He also Chairs MAMP's Strategic Planning Committee and has served on its Board of Directors since 2006. Michael is a recipient of MAMP's President's award and was voted Maryland Mortgage Broker of The Year in 2008.
Michael has earned the prestigious CMPS (Certified Mortgage Planning Specialist) designation, earned by less than 1% of mortgage originators nationwide that demonstrate a complete understanding of the financial planning, economic, and tax planning issues that relate to mortgages and properly structuring them to facilitate the achievement of an individual's financial planning goals.
Michael is a graduate of the University of Maryland and currently resides in Boyds, MD with his wife Frances, his son Ryan, and his daughter Carissa. He enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family at his beach home in Puerto Rico.
